Programming Contest "SmileBASIC Oogiri World Grand Prix" Held!

We are pleased to announce the SmileBASIC Oogiri World Grand Prix, a programming contest in which SmileBASIC creators from around the world will compete on the basis of a single theme.

The theme this time is "Smile". How you interpret the theme and apply it to your work is up to you!

Let's use SmileBASIC4 to create and submit a programming work with the theme of "smile".

The special judge is Toru Furuya, the voice actor known for his roles as Amuro Rei in Mobile Suit Gundam and Toru Amuro in Detective Conan. Mr. Furuya, a "programming expert" who actually used to create games in BASIC, will judge the entries from a strict perspective.

And the grand prize is a monthly delivery of "Hokkaido Sweets Subscription Service," featuring famous Japanese sweets from Hokkaido!

What is important in this contest is not so much the programming technique, but rather "how to make something interesting and new while utilizing the theme. That's the question.

Submissions are due by 17:59 (JST) on March 1, 2021.

Whether you are a veteran or a novice creator, please feel free to participate!
